Briefing journalists in Owerri, shortly after assuming his office, the Lawyer said the commission with the assurances of the state government would conduct credible polls before the end of 2014 first quarter, asking for the patience of Imo electorate, assuring it would be “free and fair”.

While commending the governor of the state, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, for the opportunity he gave him to serve in the capacity as the chairman of the commission, he regretted the dilapidated state of the structures in the commission located along Orlu Road, Owerri.
