THE UNTOLD STORY OF GOV.OKOROCHA'S RECENT MOTOR ACCIDENT

 Some years ago, I worked as Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of ImoState. I can vividly remember that at that time, I was also a victim of the usual exuberance that engulfs newly appointed political office holders. Then, I had a government driver assigned to drive me in my official vehicle. I enjoy driving a lot and I derived more pleasure in driving the official car myself. I usually drove myself in the deputy governor’s convoy to the admiration of some people.

I also saw driving myself for official assignments as a show of humility in office. Ironically, I thought I was doing the right thing.

Imo must be better and all Imolites must continue to clap for Jesus as Sam Onwuemeodo always say. Jesus shed his blood for the rescue of mankind and all the Jews who never believed in his kingship were witnesses to his sufferings on the cross of Calvary yet they never felt sorry for our lord.

Imo Assembly Passes Autonomous Community Bill

IMO State House of Assembly on Tuesday in Owerri passed a bill on amended law on Imo State Autonomous Community Administration Law 2012.

The bill, which was sponsored by the Majority Leader of the House, Mrs. Adaku Ihuoma, was passed after painstaking deliberations by the 27 members of the Assembly presided by the Speaker, Chief Benjamin Uwajimogu.

The bill when assented to become law provides that the governor of Imo State is empowered to appoint members of the caretaker committee to manage the affairs of each of the autonomous communities in the 27 local councils of the state,
