Okorocha presents N56.3 billion Supplementary Bill to Assembly
The 26- member Imo State House of Assembly, has presented bill on the establishment of ant- graft agency, known as the Imo State Economicand Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) bill.
The bill which was read for the first time by the Majority leader of the Assembly, Hon. Adaku Ihuoma (Aboh Mbaise), also received the attention and nod of other members who contributed, stating that if the commission was established, it would check those who misuse and swindle Imo public funds. The bill has been slated for second reading.

Meanwhile, The governor of Imo State, Mr. Rochas Okorocha, has presented supplementary Bill of fifty six billion, three hundred and eighty seven million naira (N56,387 billion) to the Imo State House of Assembly for deliberation and approval. This is for the year ending December, 2013.The bill which was read by the Majority Leader of the assembly, Hon. Adaku Ihuoma (Ahiazu Mbaise), with the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Donatus Ozoemena, presiding, was stoutly opposed by majority of the members.
Leading the opposing group, the member representing Isiala Mbano constituency, Hon. Simeon Iwunze, raised objection based on the fact of the unsatisfactory performance of the account of the current year 2013 budget.
Hon. Ozoemena appealed for caution, meanwhile the assembly has adjourned sitting till December 3, 2013.
Expectedly, the house members would agree further either they should continue with the supplementary bill or not. Culled from LEGISREPORTS
