Rather than give column inches to glorified stick insects in swimsuits, we thought we'd pay homage to the ladies brave enough to stick two metaphorical fingers up to the wacky world of celebrity fad diets by flaunting their curves on the beach.

Next up is Kelly Bensimon, a model and socialite who is famous in America after appearing in The Real Housewives Of New York City.
She may be relatively unknown in the UK, but those curves have transatlantic appeal.
