No kidnap attempt on Ohakim –Aides
The purported kidnap attempt on the former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim as reported in some social media has been described as false.
In their separate reactions, the aides of the former Governor, Dr. Kelechi Okpaleke and Dr. Ethelbert Okere told Nigerian Horn yesterday that the news is very far from the truth.

They maintained that there were no kidnap attempt on Dr. Ohakim at his Burma retreat country home Okohia in Isiala Mbano LGA. According to them, the former Governor returned to his Burma retreat country home and decided to take a walk. At the back of his building, Ohakim's security men saw some boys whose whereabouts were very suspicious around the near by bush.
Ohakim Security personal decided to interrogate the unknown boys and in the process a gun and Indian hemp were discovered from them.
They added that the boys were immediately handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Imo State Police Public Relation Officer told Nigerian Horn when contacted that she has not be properly briefed on the matter though she is aware of it. Source: nigeriahornnewspapers
