Anxiety in Imo Assembly … As Dimaku tipped for speaker

There were palpable fears in Imo state particularly at the legislative quarters over the assumed declaration of the office of the speaker Imo state House of Assembly vacant by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC currently occupied by Ben Uwajumogu representing Ihitte Uboma constituency.
Uwajumogu was alleged to have defected from PDP to APGA in order to emerge speaker.

According to undisclosed INEC sources, the action of the electoral body supersedes any other action even as the matter is in court in view that INEC relied her decision on other similar matters decided by the courts.
Those to join the speaker on the exit door include Acho Ihim of Okigwe state constituency and Adaku Ihuoma of Ahiazu Mbaise constituency.
Meanwhile reliable sources told RedParrot in Owerri that member representing Ehime Mbano state constituency Hon Kingsley Dimaku has been keenly tipped as speaker in waiting for the public declaration by INEC on the matter. But it was gathered that the embattled speaker and party hierarchy have stormed Abuja protesting INEC decision while others went into negotiation.
However, presidential sources said that despite governor Rochas Okorocha’s visit to Aso Rock after the PDP leaders returned from their Abuja party meeting, the coast have not been clear on why he later joined forces against the presidency. Another source said that his decision may be informed by unfavourable responds by the president. Source: theredparrotonline
