Anambra poll: ANPP, CPC withdraw from APC merger

The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Anambra State have pulled out of the All Progressive Congress (APC) merger ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

According to the nation newspaper report, the state Secretary of defunct ANPP, Mr. Mike Igwilo, made this known to journalists in Awka on Thursday.

Rochas Okorocha’s suspension: Umeh’s only grandstanding – Okorie

 ABUJA – NATIONAL Chairman of United Progressives Party, UPP, Chief Chekwas Okorie has described the purported suspension of Governor Rochas Okorocha by the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a mere grandstanding by the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh.

APGA in its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting at the weekend in Abuja had announced the suspension of governor Okorocha from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
