Fight against the evil that has befallen Rivers state – Ikuru

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr Tele Ikuru has declared that all Rivers people must rise up to fight the evil that has befallen the state under the present leadership in the state, dailypost reports.
 
This is even as the Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike described the defection of the deputy governor was an added value to the reclamation of the state from the APC.
 
Engr Tele Ikuru urged the people to stand up for the ideals of Rivers State, even if it meant risking their lives in the process.
 
He said: “What is happening today, if we allow it to go unchallenged, we will suffer it to the fourth generation”.
 
He said when he was deceived out of the PDP, he thought it was for the good of Rivers State, stressing that he finally discovered that the entire plot was to promote the ambition of one man.
   
 
In his remarks, Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said that the PDP was fully on ground in the state and will ensure the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan.
 
He said that Rivers State and the South-South remained committed to the second term of President because the state had supported other regions in the past and it was time for the South-South to reap the benefits.
 
Chairman of Senate Committee of Defence, Senator George Sekibo urged all Rivers people to stand behind Barrister Wike to lead the PDP to victory across the state.
 
Top politicians in Rivers State delivered goodwill messages welcoming back the deputy governor back to the PDP.
 
 
The Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah formally received Tele Ikuru back to the PDP.
 
While handing him the umbrella, Bro Obuah assured the deputy governor that all his supporters will be integrated into the party.
 
 
 
Engr Tele Ikuru defected with his supporters across Rivers State, prominent among them were APC officials from several local government areas.
