The soul of Imo State Rochas in Soup, FG moves to freeze Imo LG Account

The unending feud between the Imo state government and the elected councilors and chairmen may be taking another dimension as plans bt the frderal government to freeze the Imo Local Government account appears to be the next option. Investigations by the Nigerian Horn newspaper revealed that the visit by the leaders of
the Peoples Democratic Party to Aso rock a week ago had given the president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan a thinking cap towards the goings on in Imo State.

We gather that machineries have been set in motion to find a legal lasting solution that would culminate in the removal of Anayo Rochas Okorocha from the governorship seat of the seat which he won after keenly contested supplementary election.

Sources of the Nigerian horn in the Presidency revealed that one of the major complaints that the Presidency is most bitter about is the issue of the Imo Security Network which is viewed by the Presidency as state police. The Presidency, our sources say sees the “State Police” as an aberration against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which Mr. President swore to defend and an affront on the person of Dr Goodluck Jonathan.

We were also told that 'Oga' is not happy that a state governor will be adamant to an Appeal Court ruling in his administration where the rule of law is paramount and might have decided to wield the big stick on the Imo number one citizen.

Nigerian Horn further gathered that the governor and most of his aides are having sleepless nights over the development.

It was revealed that Owelle Rochas Okorocha is reaching out to some notable Nigerians to meet President Jonathan to see how to solve the lingering political impasse in the state.Source: nigerianhornnewspapers
